Through ceremony, song, poetry, dance, film, visual art, and discussion we address the movement for decolonization and call for change and renewal!
Elder Modesto Amegago shares blessings, insights, and music from West Africa. Rainos Mutamba and Pasi Gunguwo speak about the renewal of Southern African indigenous culture, the AIDS pandemic, and share some of the spiritual music of their people. Amai Kuda speaks to decolonization through words and song. And, there will be previews and discussion of the film Coming Home: Fighting AIDS with Culture by Nadia Buckmire.
